]]> When I substitute teach, sometimes a student will say, “I can’t do this!” When this happens, I immediately inform the student that the words, “I can’t”, are not acceptable and should be replaced with the words, “I can.” I then proceed to let the student know they have a choice of whether to be an “I can’t do this person” or an “I can do this person.” “Which one would you rather be?” I ask, and every time the response has been, “I want to be an I can do this person!” “Well get on with it, get busy, do what you have to do!’ I say, and immediately their whole attitude changes. Personally, I thank God everyday for all the “I can do’s” the Lord puts in front of me. I also thank the Lord that He is, always has been, and will be an “I can do this person!” Can you imagine what our world would be like if God was not an “I can do this person”, especially when it came to the birth, life, death, resurrection, and ascension of His son Jesus Christ. Wow, where would we be if God had said instead, “I can’t do this!”
