In the English language there is only one word for “love”. The ancient Greeks had four different words for love. Three of these words were considered “conditional” love (erotic, friendship, and family) because they come naturally as part of our human nature. But, there was one word reserved for “unconditional” love (agape) because it does not come naturally. Agape is the word used to describe God’s love for us. It comes from God into our lives to be shared with the world around us. Happy Agape Day!
