Seeking Glory

I remember singing a camp song entitled “Glory Hallelujah Jubilee.” It was all about giving thanks and praise for God’s glorious presence in our lives. There are two types of glory. The fleeting glory only this world can give with all it’s pomp and circumstance, and the eternal glory only God can give without all the pomp and circumstance. Worldly glory is bought and paid for and sometimes comes at a heavy price. Godly glory comes as a free gift without any price to pay. The glory we seek is dependent on whom we ultimately want to glorify, ourselves or God presence in our lives.
